This study explores the possible effects of Facebook communication on the human psyche and on the way humans relate to other social actors. The study was conducted in 2016 in Timisoara, Romania, during a focus group organised with two categories of Facebook users: teenagers and youth from schools and specialists (counsellors, therapists, spiritual leaders, and mass media). The first finding regarded the reason why the participants in the focus groups opened a Facebook account. Then, the possible risks of Facebook communication were found out: Facebookmania (Facebook addiction), narcissistic tendencies, and depression in young people and even in teenagers. Data were collected using a common semi-structured interview with both groups (young people and specialists). Qualitative research results are presented as a narrative, the best suited for our research and containing the most significant quotes of the participants. Conclusions were drawn taking into account the limitations of this study as assumed by the author.
