The article is focused on the concept of violence, specifically on the violence against children. Starting with theoretical considerations regarding the violence, the papers emphasize the behavioral and neurobiological consequences of violence on the development of children. The strengths and vulnerability of child development process toward violence is the core part of current papers. The resilience of children victims of violence is discussed. What can be done by prevention of violence within the current social conditions in Romania is a question having an answer within the article. The main international documents issued by UNO as well as structures and events, and the European initiatives are mentioned and taken as arguments for pleading in the favor of preventing violence against children in Romania.
