The supervision is applied to all the social activities. This study try to analyze the ways in which supervision is done in social services dealing with domestic violence. The results of the research point out the progresses made on supervision, but also the vulnerabilities, the opportunities and necessary directions in the development of supervision in this sector of activities. The purpose of the study is to carry out a comparative analysis of the supervision process between the types of governmental and non-governmental social services intervening in solving domestic violence or violence against children. The analysis of the results highlights the differences between private and public services in the following aspects: in the implementation of supervision process, in understanding the role of supervision for all parts involved and the regulations regarding supervision included in the internal organizational procedures and methodologies.
