Cosmin Goian is a professor and PhD holder at the West University of Timișoara, head of the Department of Social Work since 2012, and served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology from 2008 to 2011. He is also the director of the Master's program in Management and Supervision in Child and Family Welfare. Since 2014, he has been qualified to supervise PhD research in Sociology, and since 2019, in Social Work. His main areas of scientific interest include communication in social work and sectorial languages, ethics and values in social work, and conflict management in social work.
