In the European Union, the trends of poverty and social exclusion based on housing criteria, contain different developments from one state to another, but at the average level, in recent years (2019-2023) there is an increase in the number of social cases, which cannot aspire to decent housing in more and more states. Romania has a regrettable record in this regard, in that, currently, acquiring a home is an impossibility not only for the population whose income hovers around the poverty line, but also for broad categories of employees paid close to the minimum wage. This article presents the situation of these vulnerable population categories in terms of housing and implicitly in terms of social integration.
