By Government Decision no. 1489 from 18th of December 2002 was established the National Anti-Drug Agency, which is a juridical institution under the direct subordination of Ministry of Interior having as main tasks to establish the broad conception and the assurance of unitary coordination based on a national strategy in fighting against drug trafficking and consumerism, developed by the competent authorities and other state institutions and non-governmental organisations.
