The social worker is the person who applies specific methods to help people who are in difficult situations. The social worker is the one who needs to work and think about sustainable strategies to get out of the vicious circle of losing resources and opportunities for people in difficult situations. Many people who are in vulnerable situations and they need social workers who have values and skills able to understand the concept of resilience, sustainable intervention, understand how to develop resources and how to activate them without losing the fundamental values in social work; social workers who are capable of innovation, creativity and especially capable of manifesting emotions in an appropriate and human way, emotions that create the space of resilience that these people who are in need situations. Communication and interviewing skills are essential to the social worker and consequently seeks to train and develop these skills in the interview for this profession. Since the main mission of the social worker’s profession is to help people, groups in difficulty, the essential skills seem to be communication and interviewing. For this profession, the knowledge and skills of interviewing are fundamental. A good knowledge of specific techniques and a high level of skills development will reduce the likelihood of errors and their severity.
