An institutional system for disabled children care has known major and continuous changes within the last 17 years. Following the general trend of valorisation and social integration of disabled people, this category has been revealed from the hospital – shelter of darkness in Romania also.
In the present, disabled children benefit of a large variety of social services settled through the European level legislation.
