When applying the reform in social services domain, one of the most important action directions is that of taking people out from the institutionalized centres. This happens especially in child’s protection area. The big residential centres are replaced by family buildings, where children feel like being home. There are also offered alternatives like fosters, the development of maternal assistance network and the trial of reinstatement of the child in his natural family. All these alternatives have strategic value in the up-to-date activity.
The prevention part is being emphasized, especially by the important involvement of the community. These last two elements are absolutely indispensable for modern social services. A condition for all these objectives to be realized is to create a network of professionals in social services domain.
