United States Agency for International Development offers economic assistance, assistance for development, humanitarian actions all over the world in order to support USA external politics objectives. The main objective of the program is to support economic growth, democratic attitudes and institutions, improvement quality of life for Romanians. USAID finance specialised programs that implement programs and prove they have the necessary technique skills, expertise and experience in order to obtain durable results. USAID developed in Romania assistance programs without refunding of over 400 million dollars in the following areas: privatisation, financial sector development, private sector development, energetic sector reform, environment management and protection, democratic government, civil society development, public administration and local authorities’ management, women health and child protection.
