The paper explores the intersection between humanistic social work and temporary architecture, proposing an interdisciplinary methodology that integrates sociology, anthropology, and architecture in social interventions within disadvantaged communities. Building on the premises of humanistic and contextualist paradigms, the research argues that marginalization and social deviance can be explained by the lack of an empathetic community structure that facilitates cohesion and social integration. In this regard, temporary architecture is proposed as a tool for representation and social intervention, with the ability to facilitate processes of co-creation and community dialogue. By employing the action-research model, the paper promotes collaboration between architects, social workers, and sociologists to generate participatory solutions in vulnerable communities. The ontology of play is explored as a method of communication and identity configuration, suggesting that playful interactions can contribute to the reconstitution of social bonds and the promotion of collective solidarity. The research is grounded in pragmatic and instrumentalist theories, emphasizing that social reality is dynamic and requires a continuous process of adaptation and the refinement of practice during intervention. Through the analysis of the artistic group Todo por la Praxis, the paper illustrates the potential of temporary architecture as a tool for research and social representation. In this context, "the other architecture" explores its capacity for healing and change, serving as a medium of expression for underrepresented communities and as a catalyst for social cohesion. Thus, the research proposes a reevaluation of public space and its conventional standards, offering innovative alternatives for social inclusion and community regeneration.
