This paper aims to explore how the techniques and skills used by social workers influence their direct work with beneficiaries. It highlights the importance of understanding communication techniques and strategies actively employed during interactions between social workers and beneficiaries. The analysis focuses on the role of social workers and the significance of each form of communication in their interaction with beneficiaries, depending on the type of vulnerable group. The research is based on a descriptive design, utilizing a qualitative method  case studies. Eleven case studies were collected through unstructured individual online interviews, conducted in collaboration with both entry-level and senior social workers in Timișoara. The practical implications emphasize the importance of adapting communication methods to meet the specific needs of beneficiaries, which is crucial to the success of social work across all vulnerable groups.
